CodeIgniter version 1.6.2 has been officially released. This release includes more than 29 bug fixes and 34 feature additions and enhancements. Among these are some improvements to Active Record and transactional database interaction, the introduction of a constants file, improvements to the Zip library, a Compatibility Helper, new features to the File Helper, the removal of closing PHP tags from the framework files, and many other goodies. Paired with this release is the introduction of Tags in the Subversion server for version snapshots. По словам SonyNEC Optiarc, накопители, способные читать и записывать DVD, и читать диски Blu-ray (напомним, такие устройства называются Blu-ray Combo), будут стоить $100 уже в конце текущего года, когда начнется праздничный сезон продаж. За $150 можно будет купить аналогичное устройство компактного типоразмера, предназначенное для ноутбуков. Наконец, устройства с функцией записи новых носителей обойдутся покупателю, выбирающему подарок к Рождеству, в $150-200.

Если учесть, что указанные ориентиры относятся к продукции SonyNEC Optiarc, которая занимает более высокую ценовую нишу, чем массовая продукция таких производителей, как LG и Samsung, можно предположить, что приводы с поддержкой Blu-ray станут действительно доступны широкому кругу покупателей уже в этом году.
